It took a bit of luck and a lot of patience but eventually I got a few pictures of this dragonfly (I believe it’s a paddle tailed darner) that I was happy with.

Those shots were worth the wait (easy for me to say I know)
These are wonderful shots. I’ve tried a lot to capture dragonflies in flight and know that it is a daunting challenge to catch them in the air. I love the motion blur in the second one, though I really like the facial expression of the first shot.
Thanks Mike! Ya, they certainly are tough to track and photograph. I think I spent about 4 hours to get about 6 shots I was happy with!
